Why do my EPSI graphs look different?
We have made two updates to the EPSI: 1) The norms, or benchmarks, at each month of age have been revised based on scores from a larger sample of children (N = 2,719), and 2) the EPSI total score is now a weighted total score. The EPSI Weighted Total score is calculated by summing Looks + Explores + Functions(x2) + Solutions(x3). Like the ECI Weighted Total score, the EPSI Weighted Total score gives children more credit for more advanced problem solving skills.
