We are pleased to announce a new study opportunity using the IGDIs!
Request more information if your child has an autism diagnosis
We are conducting a joint study between the University of Kansas, the University of Kansas Medical Center, and the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill to adapt the current Early Communication Indicator (ECI) for young children with autism. The ECI is one of the IGDI’s and is used as a progress monitoring tool that measures how young children communicate with others. Participating families will complete online surveys and in-person developmental and play-based assessments with their child.
You may be eligible to participate if:
- Your child is between the ages of 1 and 5 years old.
- Your child has an autism diagnosis
- Your child’s primary language is English.
- Located in Kansas, Missouri, or North Carolina.
Eligible participants will receive:
- $100 for completing study activities and additional reimbursement if selected for subsequent study activities.
- Participants may receive updated standardized assessments if needed for study participation.
You and your child must be located in Kansas, Missouri, or North Carolina to participate in the FLASH study.
